Sunday Morning Class January 27 - March 3
Once upon a time, people knew their neighbors. They talked to them, had cook-outs with them, shared life together. But today, we have hundreds of "friends" through online social networking, while we often don't know the name of the person who lives right next door. Jesus calls us to love our neighbors as ourselves, but what does that look like? Bring a friend and join us as we discover what it means to be a neighbor during this six-week class.
Week one - Who is my neighbor?
What if the solution to the world's biggest problems has been right under our noses for thousands of years?
Week two - The Time Barrier
Do I live at a pace that allows me to be available to those around me?
Week three - The Fear Factor
Fears can save us from dangerous situations, but often times our fears are unwarranted and become obstacles to obeying the Great Commandment.
Week four - Motives Matter
Sharing the story of Jesus and his impact on our lives is the right motive, but it cannot be an ulterior motive in developing relationships.
Week five - The Art of Receiving
Jesus chose to make himself vulnerable. The one who came to give everything for us was also willing to receive from us.
Week six - Peacemaking
Neighboring is not always about being happy and comfortable, it's about allowing God to polish off the rough edges.
